Homes for Ukraine Update

Thank you again to the many residents across Daventry who have opened up their homes to Ukrainian refugees fleeing the horrendous and unprovoked war in Ukraine.

Many residents have been in touch to enquire how Ukrainian families, once they have arrived in Daventry, can demonstrate proof of address.

I've been working closely with the West Northants Council and can confirm that the Council will be able to issue a letter as proof of address. This can then be used to present to banks, GP surgeries, schools and other services that require proof of address.

In order to issue the letter, the Council will need to conduct a home visit. However, as home visits are a requirement of signing up to the scheme, residents should request the letter at the point of the accommodation check happening.

If you've already had an accommodation check, you can email resettlement@westnorthants.gov.uk or call my office on 020 7219 7048 for more information.
